This mature gravel pit in Hayling Island adjoins the golf course and is around 15 acres in size. It offers great sport for all anglers alike. There is a large head of quality large Carp, Tench and Bream to double figures, Roach, Rudd and decent sized Pike.
Covid 19 Additional Update

Following advice, the PDAS are pleased to confirm the following in addition to the General Water Rules and Specific Water Rules:

1 – All waters will re- open on Wednesday 13th May at 12 noon, NO anglers allowed on any water until 12 noon as preparations for re-opening will not be finished until this time.

2 – All waters will have restrictions to conform to Angling Trust guidelines.  This could mean for example that certain swims are closed and taped off. Under NO circumstances is fishing allowed outside the swims that are open. Any additional water rules will be posted at the specific water and the club website individual water pages.

3 – Maximum stay on any water is limited to 24 hours.

4 – Anglers must always maintain a safe distance (minimum of 15 metres) from other anglers whilst fishing on the water. There is no sharing of pegs or fishing tackle except by members of the same household.

5 – Anglers MUST carry their own hand sanitizers to use after opening gates and pad locks.

6 – Anglers must only travel to venues on their own or with other members of their family. Cars must not be shared.  Take particular care when parking not to break social distancing rules.

7 – Bailiffs will still be checking memberships and adherence to rules. This will be carried out at a safe distance, you need to show your membership and not pass it to the bailiff. Do not approach within 2 metres of a bailiff.

8 – Do not visit any water if you have symptoms of COVID-19. Stay at home and follow Government advice on isolation.

9 – Anyone breaking these rules or existing club rules will be asked to leave and reported to the disciplinary committee.

Please stay safe and be responsible for your actions to protect yourself and other anglers and understand that there may be times you turn up and all swims are taken.

Water Rules

All general water rules apply plus the following:

  • 1. Car parking is only in 2 angling car parks, accessed via club key. All gates must remain locked when not in use.
  • 2. The out of bounds areas marked on the map are strictly enforced. All wildfowl and fauna are strictly protected.
  • 3. One rod per member only is permitted, unless a rod supplement is purchased for up to an additional 2 rods.
  • 4. Maximum of 5kg of bait per 48hr session.
  • 5. No Night fishing from Tates. Fishing is only permitted from dawn to dusk on Tates.
  • 6. Float fishing only from Tates. (25mtrs from bank only)
  • 7. No access at all through the golf course car park.
  • 8. No fishing past any markers which are placed when water levels are low.
  • 9. Fish welfare is paramount. Due to the nature of the lake bed and weed, anglers must fish the water only in their swim area, and remain in their swims.

Maximum stay of 48hrs on this water.

No close season on this water however it may be necessary to close the water for fishery management purposes at short notice.
