Hi all, we have a disabled member who is looking for a carer to assist them once a week to go fishing. The carer will need to be a driver with his own transport and be a non-smoker.
The day will consist of collecting the gentleman from his home address in Portsmouth at around 9am and popping into the tackle shop to collect bait for the day. Then proceed to the lake of his choice and generally assist him with fishing, unhooking fish etc. He can do most things for himself and will play fish etc so its just generally help and support that is required. He is very independent and does not need any help with going to the toilet etc. Then at the end of the day, return him to his home address with his tackle and unload his gear.
You will be paid £9 an hour and 45p a mile.
At present he fishes every Wednesday but this is flexible and different arrangements can be made to suit both parties.
This gentleman loves his fishing and he benefits greatly from his day on the bank, so please consider helping or putting the word around.
We need to find someone fast as the present carer is leaving soon. The successful candidate will be issued with a carers pass so he/she does not need to be a member of the Club.
If you are interested, please contact Roy Adams on 07899930611 and he will forward your details to the gentleman wife who will ultimately be responsible for the appointment.
